Arzúa → O Pedrouzo

October 10, 2026

Forty two days into the journey and only one day left. I've woken up excited every day to hit the trail and see what may come my way, but tomorrow will be special.

For six weeks Santiago has been posted on a stone marker with a number beside it. Early on the number dropped so slowly that I never really paid it attention. Today's last marker read 19km remaining.

The night before I started, a priest in Roncesvalles blessed the pilgrims. I stood at that altar with a list of names in my pocket and the prayer requests people had sent me. That list has made every step with me on the road. Tomorrow I will carry those intentions into the cathedral and lay them in front of the tomb of the apostle St. James.
